Strategic Sourcing and Alignment
Initiated as a strategic objective to enhance profitability by reducing fully landed product costs, the project resulted in improved delivery and reduced labor & material costs. The primary goal was to develop a cost model that would enable senior leadership to evaluate and approve product resourcing efforts.
The cross-functional team, comprised of experts in supply chain management, contracts, technical support, logistics, and operations management, collaborated to achieve this objective. The project’s success was marked by significant material cost reductions, labor savings through make-to-buy transitions, and improved supplier deliveries through the sourcing of higher-level assemblies.
